Ferris Mfg. Corp. was established in 1977 and its unique PolyMem formulation is the world's first QuadraFoamTM dressing. QuadraFoam dressings are an innovative class of adaptable wound care dressings that effectively cleanse, fill, absorb and moisten wounds throughout the healing continuum. Only QuadraFoam dressings combine these four key wound-healing capabilities into a single wound care product.
In the spring of 2006, Ferris introduced its most recent line, ShapesTM by PolyMem. Shapes dressings are pre-cut, easy-to-use dressings available in the most common wound shapes and sizes, therefore reducing the need to manually cut dressings to size.
Over the years, Ferris has received numerous awards including the KPMG Peat Marwick High-Tech Entrepreneur Award, the Medical Device and Diagnostic Industry's Medical Design Excellence Awards® 2000, Industry Week's Top 25 Growing Companies Award (2000), and the Illinois Governor's Export Award (1998 and 1999).
